CONSULTING

Counseling is a form of counseling to the person and a helping relationship, which aims to accompany the client during temporary moments of difficulty or during the phases of existential transition.

It allows a greater awareness of one's situation and helps to activate personal resources to improve the quality of life.

Psychological Counseling consists of an intervention, generally of a few interviews. Cost: € 70

After the first contact, there are orientation interviews, which can take place in the studio or online. These meetings (never more than five) serve to understand together with the person what is happening to him and what are his resources to face the problem.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Psychotherapy is a therapeutic practice of clinical psychology that deals with the treatment of psychopathological disorders of a different nature and entity, ranging from modest maladjustment or personal discomfort up to  severe symptoms, and which can manifest themselves in neurotic or psychotic symptoms such as to harm the well-being of a person to the point of hindering its development, causing active disability in the individual's life.

Sessions generally focus on the subject's present and past life, with the freedom to speak spontaneously about any topic, without hierarchies of importance. The therapist thus helps the person in acquiring a greater understanding of their own dynamics and in analyzing any reference patterns or significant events that may play a role in the client's current difficulties. The duration of the treatment is always linked to the complexity of the situation being treated, beyond the specific theoretical orientation of the approach used by the psychotherapist. Cost € 70.

PSYCHO-ONCOLOGICAL SUPPORT THERAPY

Psychological therapies assist the cancer patient in every phase of the disease with the aim of reducing feelings of alienation, isolation and helplessness in him.

The treatment seeks to reduce anxiety, to clarify incorrect perceptions and information; people are facilitated to acquire greater responsibility and responsiveness to medical treatments.

The most frequent expressions of the crisis of the cancer patient can be described in:

- Refusal, as a denial of one's illness and an obstacle to compliance in the therapeutic phase; Disorder of adaptation.

- Anxiety, as fear of loneliness, death, loss of physical abilities and socio-emotional isolation;

- Depression, such as resignation, loss of motivation and emotions related to a psychophysical decline.

When faced with a stressful situation we perceive this type of negative emotions, we feel a certain helplessness regarding our doing, our acting actively on the event that creates discomfort. The path will therefore be aimed at getting out of the crisis, improving self-esteem and the sense of effectiveness; to transform pain and anger; to accept the change in order to acquire a new way to better live their present, their life. The duration of the course is subjective and therefore variable and can end when the set objectives have been achieved; the resources, the sense of trust, the ability to act have been strengthened; a different way of adapting to a new situation has been found; discomfort has been alleviated. Cost € 70.

Psycho-oncology interventions addressed to the family of the cancer patient aim to help the family system to support the patient's entire clinical process, from diagnosis to recovery or bereavement and, in that case, to favor the process of processing.
